You Fell Off The Balance Beam – Now What? Hint: (Continue Networking)

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Just discovered it did not work.
You interviewed very well and were selected to go to the last round of interviews.
After the interview, he prepared a strong party in the interview that you have provided clear answers to the above challenges.
Then you have the news. I went with another candidate.
It ’s again?
Not yet. This is the time to dust off your network card after the interview. The networking letter after the interview closes the loop on the entire interview process. In this letter, the applicant recognizes that were not elected and focuses on the future. The tactic is to encourage other ideas, contacts or potential customers can provide the next step in the job search process.
This is worth pursuing?
Most people are not extend the job search process to this point, they do not feel comfortable with taking an aggressive stance. But the worst that can happen is your e-mail is ignored and trashed. You can get a response. Its just another e-mail.
The job search cycle
At a high level, the research includes five phases:
Step 1 – Creation of networks or network card
Networking is the art of turning strangers into friends and supporters
Step 2 – Submission of resume or cover letter for a job
Step 3 – The Job Interview
Step 4 – The letter and follow-up interview after
Step 5 – The networking letter after the interview
This letter is a hybrid – a combination of Phase 1 and Phase 5.
Suppose you receive on your fear of rejection and decided to send
the interviewer follow-up letter network.
What say you?
The contents of the letter of Post Interview networks
The letter must include the following elements:
- Recognize the fact that it did not work
- Reiterate that likes the company and really want to work there
- Ask the interviewer that you have not
- Ask your experience with your job search – I. e. “If I leave, what to do next?”
- Ask other contacts you can refer.
- Request that the interviewer will give the opinion referred to competitors and other companies should seek
All these questions are intended to collect the interviewers brain.
You are recognizing that it is time to move on and you just want a little help and expert advice.
I wrote a letter after the interview networks that can be used as a guide. Please check and decide what you want to include (what you are comfortable with), in his letter.
Example
Dear Mr. Jones:
I was disappointed to discover that it has expanded the job of technical writer for another candidate. Your company is a leader in the market and would be a great place for me to continue my career.
I think the candidate who received the offer must be enthusiastic and excited.
At this point, I’m ready to move on with my job search and was wondering if you could give me some expert advice. I’m committed to this area and want to know what companies must pursue if it were in my shoes.
I would also appreciate any advice you could give me on the overall quality of my interview and where I could improve. It would be valuable information.
Finally, if not too much trouble, could provide a network port in the industry that could contact? I could call without using your name as a reference, if it makes you more comfortable.
I appreciate any help and advice you can provide and please keep in mind if it evolves into a new position or a current position open.
Thanks again for the opportunity to interview with the company.
Sincerely,
Perry Maisin
Comments
I’m sure many of you are thinking that this letter crosses the line.
After all, the interviewer does not owe you anything, and some people do not respond to a letter from monitoring networks. But most employers have never received this letter and many applaud their persistence. Even if you receive a reply with a little, or contact, your letter was a success because it has the conversation.
Closing the Loop
The networking letter after the interview full circle cycle research. The search for a more effective way of maintaining a network perspective throughout the process and not lose the opportunity. To succeed, you must take every opportunity to sell yourself perspective employer or contact. At the same time, must pay it forward to establish trust and credibility with foreigners who want to cultivate friends and supporters. A key ingredient of its network strategy should be to provide knowledge and free advice. We return to you and you get spontaneous, seemingly random leads that are closer to your goal.

Why Social Networking Has Never Been More Relevant For Job Hunters

Friday, June 18th, 2010

It is certainly not difficult to understand why social media and social networking websites have exploded in popularity in recent years. They capitalize on the intrinsic human need to interact with the reaction of other people earn. Blogs, forums and other online communities allow us to share ideas with people around the world in real time and offer almost all the dynamics of human interaction. Millions of people have created profiles on social networking sites and images and videos uploaded to social media sites. As more people gain broadband access to the Internet, this trend should continue with no end in sight. As these sites create opportunities for people to find work? Here are some ways, but do this:
? Connections, Connections, Connections – If you are looking for the possibility of a university-level employment in a senior management position, the importance of having a connection that will help draw attention (and get an interview) can not be overestimated . Many people belong to different networks online community and letting them know that you are looking for a new job allows you to leverage the vast network of other networks as well.
? The site workplaces and communities – to work harder and online message boards to meet a very narrow range of interests that allows job seekers to bypass large, large as http://Monster sites. com where you can be your plan of study neglected. For example, if you have very specialized skills, such as underwater welding or forensic accounting, it is likely that there are job boards online where you can draw attention to respond to these fields.
? Recruiters and human resource managers also use the Web-savvy! – This is a very significant statistic for the relevance of social networks for job seekers: According to a 2006 study by the Society for Human Resource Management, recruiters use social networking sites 23 percent more what he did in 2006, to review the curriculum, screen candidates and fill vacancies.
? Reputation Management – The sites of social media can be an advantage or a poison. Because recruiters and hiring managers are browsing social networking sites to gather information on the recruitment potential jobseekers should be aware of additional unflattering photos and information on their pages that could affect their chances of being hired. The images are engaging in illegal activities or people who criticize the fact that the former employer could turn against them.
The Internet has changed significantly as people try to work and how potential employers find skilled workers. Harnessing the power of social networking sites has become almost essential for job seekers, but must be careful how they might be perceived. Just as the community where you live, the connections have an important role in the speed and ease with which you can find a new position. However, like a conversation, you should pay particular attention to what type of image you are projecting online.

Social networking research on the open road

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter can be striking headlines and are really the “thing” when it comes to keeping up with the daily lives of friends and celebrities. But the value of social networking as a marketing tool for many companies remains a mystery. If you believe that some of the biggest fans of the blogosphere is car company should be compared without your personal blog or Twitter to keep the world from their latest ideas, products or services. But is investment, particularly in terms of time and effort paid off in terms of sales or visits to the site of blogger? In order to try to shine some ‘light on the question I recently created a small experiment to test the effectiveness of blogs and twitters as marketing tools. It is certainly not the most scientific of tests, but noted some interesting trends. Those who know me say I am a kind of fan when it comes to bikes and racing bikes in particular. For months I had planned to travel for the Motorcycle Grand Prix at Le Mans and has decided to provide real-time updates of the trip by bicycle from my phone is on a blog and Twitter, and verify the marketing of relevant traffic to a site that provides another MotoGP bike tour. So I asked some friends and contacts, email, to approach their extended networks to lure users to the two communication channels to watch the progress of the five-day trip. To ensure a fair result, both the blog and Twitter accounts used were new, so there was more traffic on the historic events forum. In addition to blogs and Twitter, also posted updates on my Facebook page exists, is primarily used to provide a benchmark for social media, Facebook is for friends who already know me and I knew Twitter earlier. On my return I looked at where the majority of referrals came from the new blog and search results yielded some interesting results. Pour through statistics showed how a well constructed blog is important, in particular, Google has been reviewing the blog several times a day, we learned that on the list of search results as soon as it started. However, first things first, I am desperate to find some other friends who are interested in motion! The levels of interest from friends on Facebook has just beaten the aliens on Twitter! More importantly, during the five days the blog has become more than a thousand views, including Twitter and Facebook combined accounted for 29% of this traffic (Facebook and Twitter 15% 14%). Surprisingly engines search generated more than double the number of visitors, for a total of 64%. 20% of these visitors were interested enough to go on a commercial blog site to see the tour on others for the future. Although the results of this simple test are inconclusive, some interesting trends seem to emerge, especially for anyone thinking of using social networking as a tool to generate business. First, both Twitter and Facebook would be good for companies that operate in an environment aimed at consumers, but only if they have something interesting to say! However, in a business to business (B2B) situation, the benefits are not so clear. First, many entrepreneurs are too busy with their work every day to keep Twitters and blogs. Similarly, the pace of change and have something interesting to say often becomes an obstacle to the creation of contents for your blog or Twitters, or to regularly update their Facebook pages. Moreover, a recent study published by a team of Harvard University showed that only 10% of Twitter users generate more than 90% of site content that Twitter is still the preserve of a few dedicated, despite propaganda surrounding it. The results of my research shows that while social media is an important contribution to attracting visitors, search engines remain the leading provider of blog visitors. The fact that 20% of the traffic migrated from the blog, which was not an aggressive sales pitch of the device, a commercial site, will enhance the usefulness of a blog can be commercial sites, especially if the subject contains regularly updated news and information. This not only helps the bloggers to emerge as a kind of guru in their particular field, but more importantly to increase traffic to your website and search engine rankings. In general, the Internet can, living a kind of social revolution, but when it comes to marketing online, any technique should be used in isolation, but optimization of the major search engines is the king!

Sunday, June 6th, 2010

No matter if it is associated with the government or education, you will gain an important tool to perform their functions best. For example, there are many areas where things can not happen without the kind of printer and scanner. That’s where people think getting a network printer HP Scanjet N7710. However, when it comes to networking, there are a variety of hardware that should be in place. This is one reason for the enormous importance of finding the right place is immense. In fact, there are many devices and apparatus for use in an organization and that the sale of a network hardware site gives a hand. But do you really know what kind of network hardware is important to you? Here are some popular choices for you to consider. • Ask any person on a major network hardware and “network camera” is the answer. Without using the right type of network camera can not handle many different tasks. But, when buying a camcorder, you should pay attention specific characteristics. Always make sure the camera is equipped with features like digital zoom with presets, full screen control, integrated microphone, remote control from your phone, Plug and Play installation, and date and brand image time. • Another important thing is extremely important for all organizations involved in the network has a firewall. It is very important to pay attention to this particular aspect. Fortunately, now you can find some options in that regard. There are places selling network security and firewalls, to help keep out intruders from entering your network. But be sure to buy this particular network hardware after paying attention to their characteristics. When you buy one, you should be sure to get the maximum functionality and overall customer VPN, certification of compliance Verde, 10 or more ports, 128 MB or more memory and speed of 30Mbps encryption. • routers and gateways are also important for the network. They offer many benefits, but if you are interested in getting the maximum benefit you should opt for integrated services routers. Comes with 2 ports, 10 Mbps data transfer, intrusion prevention, Network Admission Control, control of four interface slots for expansion cards, and 256 MB of DRAM. • In addition to these types of network hardware, there are some others that should be in your organization. For example, PoE injectors and splitters, consoles and loads, print server and network interface modules,, USB hubs , host bus adapters and network cards are some popular network hardware options. Therefore, these options are very popular for those who do not know much about networking hardware. all this is necessary and you should find a place better. Simply connect to the internet and start searching for the best place to make a purchase.

Client Software and adapter

Any client computer, laptop or mobile device with a compatible wireless client adapter allows connectivity to an access point. The client adapter is a radio transmitter with the firmware compatible with any of the 802. 11a/b/g alert. What is necessary for the device can associate and authenticate with the access point. Some access points do not have a client mode that does not allow any association by customers to extend the distance of the network. The wireless client software included with the card must be carried out with specific Windows platforms. The client adapter will be integrated with the laptop, desktop or PCMCIA slot of the PCI bus. Will support specific wireless standards, characteristics of the antenna, Wi-Fi certification, WDS, scope and network security. The maker of wireless software to be used for all functions. Below is a list of some client adapters configured settings.

Access Point

As its name suggests an access point connectivity between the wireless client or wireless device and the wired network. The wireless access point takes data packets from a client and translates them into standard Ethernet frames before transmission of data over the wired network. standard category 5 twisted pair cabling will connect the access point Ethernet ports with an Ethernet port Catalyst. The maximum distance between access point and network switch is 100 meters with a standard design of Ethernet.

WLAN Controller

designs with hundreds of wireless access points due to a corporate network, sometimes deploying wireless LAN controllers. The specially designed lightweight access points that connect to a network switch. WLAN control device 4404 acts as a hub connecting four network switch to support 100 access points. Cisco Wireless Control System (WCS) management software of the wireless network is sometimes distributed controller design for WLAN planning, configuration and network optimization.

Power Injector

Cisco access points have a variety of input options, such as AC adapters, power over Ethernet and power injectors. The placement of access points is such that in some situations, an AC outlet is not available. If the Ethernet switch does not support Power over Ethernet power injectors an option, as it extends away from an AC outlet. Distances of 1. 24 miles converters are available with a fiber optic media.

Power over Ethernet

Cisco access points can be implemented with Power over Ethernet (PoE), where the network switch modules support this feature. The 300 meters is the same with Cisco pre-standard and 802. 3AF. Using Cisco pre-standard Category 5 wiring pins 1, 2, 3, 6 for power devices, and 802. 3AF uses 1, 2, 3 and 6 with 10/100/1000BaseT signaling 4, 5, 7, 8 with 10/100BaseT. Select a module network switches with power over the common access point Ethernet has been implemented and an evaluation of output power per port for specific devices. The power switch of the power system must be updated to support more power consumption from multiple devices. Distribution of power over Ethernet reduce implementation costs, with the distribution of IPT, wireless and Gigabit. See documents on the network switches from Cisco website for information on what network switch modules support PoE, and power. 802. 3AF powered device class set 2-3. 84W – 6. 49W and class 3-6. 49W – 12. 95W.

Power Patch Panel

Cisco Inline Power Panels can be implemented as Ethernet switches do not support power over Ethernet power injectors are not an option. The connection panel is not active. Turn on the computer via a CAT 5 cable is a maximum of 300 meters at a specific power for each port. The patch panel connects the access point to switch wiring with a cable.
